Lore
The World of Calypso
You are the first colonist on Calypso — a barren alien planet you must slowly make hospitable, drawing settlers from across the stars.

One Lonely Outpost drops you, alone, onto Calypso: a barren, dusty world at the far edge of settled space. Your job is to make it liveable — clearing land, coaxing crops from alien soil, terraforming the outpost from a single lander into a colony worth travelling to.
The lonely part
At first there is no one. You farm, fish, mine and craft in silence, tending the outpost's systems and raising the planet's hospitality one improvement at a time. Calypso is quiet, strange and slow to warm — and so is the work of settling it.
The colonists
As the planet grows more welcoming, people begin to arrive — the colonists who make Calypso a home rather than an outpost. Each is a distinct character with their own history, tastes and routines; befriend them, learn their stories, and the lonely outpost fills with life. Their voices — captured across thousands of lines of dialogue — are catalogued here in the Colonists section.
What this codex holds
Everything logged on the frontier: every crop and its seasons, the fish and insects of Calypso, the machines and drones that run the colony, the artifacts and documents that hint at what came before, and the colonists themselves. Facts are drawn from the community wiki and the game's own text.
